Tired of politics? Then don’t turn on your television until after the election.

The latest television figures show that Democrat Suzanne Kosmas purchased about $252,000 in ads for the Orlando market from Aug. 28 to Sept. 7. The former state lawmaker is running against third-term congressman Tom Feeney, R-Oviedo, this fall.

Meanwhile, the National Republican Congressional Committee plans to be on the air with two weeks worth of ads in Orlando from Oct. 22 through Election Day on Nov. 4.  The ads cost nearly $416,000 although it’s not yet known for which candidate. It is likely either Feeney or fellow Republican U.S. Rep. Ric Keller, a fourth-term congressman facing Democrat Alan Grayson.

This follows the recent announcement that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had reserved $1 million worth in ads in Orlando to help Kosmas. Those ads could run in late September and early October, said a DCCC spokeswoman.
